FACTORS THAT
AFFECT PERSONALITY
A Person’s Personality is normally affected by three
important factors –
1.
Biological
Factors
2.
Psychological
Factors and
3.
Sociological
Factors.
A. Biological
Factors
Under Biological Factors we have the physiological aspects like
height, weight and other aspects of a person. For example, Persons who often
are very short and aim to become basketball players or volleyball players often
get problems in their life.
The Secretion of Various Glands in human physique too comes
under this category. For example, if the secretion of the thyroid gland is
normal in a person, he lives normally. But if it is underactive or overactive,
the person will be getting so many problems.
B. Psychological
Factors
Under this category, we have the intelligence, resourcefulness,
presence of mind and so many other aspects of persons. Persons who are able to
realize things in life and have the ability to control themselves often lead a
normal life, while others often suffer in one way or the other.
C. Sociological
Factors
Under Sociological Factors, we have the social elements and
institutions that often have influence the personality of a person. Home,
School and Society are the sociological institutions that often form the
personality of a person. A person who gets a sociable, caring and secure
atmosphere in his home, school and the society in which he lives in, often
leads a normal life. But if a person does not get such an atmosphere in these
social institutions, there is every possibility of him becoming the anti-social
element.
